Day Seven~~Happy Turkey Eve

Day Seven of my new addiction to oxyen instead of carcinogens.
My sister, Heather, and the fam are officially in NC, though I will not see them till Friday.
Looking forward to going to my other sister's, Kristy's, house for Turkey day tomorrow.
Will see my brother, Daniel, in from out of town from New Mexico while at her house.
Nothing exciting to note EXCEPT North Korea can bite me.
Will check back in on the 12/18/2010 for oxygen dependence update, but will probably be updating before then for sanity sake.

Day Six: Around way girl

Day Six.
I am definitely LL Cool J's "Around the Way Girl" today.
Sucking on cherry blowpops.
Doing the end of semester work for Statistics and Zoology.
Today is a great day for not smoking and a mediocre day in general and beautiful weather.
SIDENOTE:  Have I mentioned that I LOVE corn fed soldiers? Milk does a body good...
Oh well..... Back to studying

Day Five: Skittles and coffee....

Day Five is here.
Okay day so far.
Drinking my coffee this morning but switching over to decaf hot tea and honey this afternoon.
Any suggestions on brands and flavors of tea that I may like in the morning, afternoon, and before bedtime?
Eating my Skittles.
Doing Test #4 online for Statistics.
Statistics class at 1:00pm.
Chargers play tonite.
Duke plays tonite.
What to watch?
UNC basketball lost 2-3 games in Puerto Rico in a pre-season tournie. Roy Williams is going to stroke out this year. Better have EMT's on stand by for him.
Easily frustrated and no patience.
I am so very very tired of co-dependence.
I have to repeat often in my head.
"You are doing this for you....The other BS dont matter."
It is a mantra on a loop.
The other BS don't MATTER!
I am changing.

Day Four: Are we ready for some football?

So it's Sunday. Sadly my Chargers do not play till tomorrow night. I will still turn on the games while doing studying for Zoology.
Had a slight curveball come at me yesterday afternoon....Just a couple of belts went bad on my car...Did not throw me off TOO much. So Papa Larry and Wesley are fixing them today.
Did my buffing, filing, and clearcoating for my manicure. SO SHINY!
I have studying to do... Off to the coffeeshop.
Pedicure still pending for tonight...Trying to decide on color...Might go foxy RED.

Day Three: Mani and Pedi treat

It's Day Three. I am only going to count off a week,then 3 months, 6 months, and a year. This would be tedious every day as I found out last time I tried to quit smoking. PLUS it is a constant in your face reminder.....:"Ehhhhh it's only been two weeks you know you miss it" kind of thing. Self defeating.

So I am at Fig Cafe in Fayetteville getting ready for Test #3 for Zoology which I can take either Monday or Wednesday. I am aiming for Monday and get it out of the way and not have to go to class Wednesday.

So the Mani/Pedi treat is because my skin is ALREADY changing from not smoking, I am going to take a long bath tonite and do my manicure and pedicure after. My nails are so excited.

I do have my Skittles, Mamba fruit chews, gum, water and coffee. I will survive today. It is less certain for others near and around me.

A year and a half later.....

Hi folks! I am rejuvenating my blog and my life! Today is Day One of quitting cold turkey smoking (yes, AGAIN, yes, STILL!) and I am looking for a support group of my friends, family, and strangers to help me out. I am doing all the right things today.... Good day so far! Wish me luck in the night.... Will be posting a longer post of thoughts and (gasp!) feelings on things.... So read with caution........
